We have sufficiently tested all critical software with 窗户 11 and feel confident fully supporting the latest operating system on all ODU-managed PCs. We are working on a plan for upgrading campus computers to 窗户 11 beginning this summer. 请继续关注!
Frequently asked questions
For the best experience, we recommend that all of your devices are set up the same way. 如果你 不 update them at the same time, both devices will continue to work just fine, but you may notice some features or programs behave differently. And of course logging in will be different.
Not all ODU computers can support the latest version of 窗户. Your TSP will work with you and your department if your device does not support the latest version.
Microsoft only supports each version of 窗户 for a finite amount of time. ODU's computers must be running a supported version of 窗户 so that Microsoft and our other software vendors will be able to work with us to resolve problems you experience with your device.
如果你 are receiving a replacement computer, your new computer will come with the new 窗户 operating system already installed.
如果你 are having your existing computer upgraded, the entire process will take two to three hours. Your TSP can schedule this for you during a convenient time.
